Entries for the inaugural Kangaroo Valley Art Prize are open, and will close at 5pm on 12 September. The exhibition of entries will take place 28 September to 1 October
The prize pool is $7000, including $5000 for the inaugural Kangaroo Valley Art Prize, $100 for Highly Commended and a People’s Choice Award of $1000.
The 2018 exhibition will be curated by Allan Baptist OAM, noted curator and judged by Natalia Bradshaw international contemporary art judge, and Therese Kenyon, Sydney artist, educator and writer. The show will also feature the work of Bowral artist and dual Archibald Finalist, Vanessa Stockard.
The exhibition will be held in stunning Kangaroo Valley for four days over the long weekend, with all accepted work to be for sale at the exhibition and on-line for the following month.
Any two-dimensional works may be submitted including painting in any medium, drawing, printmaking, photography, digital art, mixed media, etc. Submissions are invited from all artists in NSW and are to be entered via a form on the Arts in Valley website. Artists are required to upload an image of work(s) (max 5 MB in size) and can enter up to three artworks.
