Wollongong Poetry Workshop 2011. SCWC PROGRAM
4-11 January 2011

Only two places left! A unique, immersive creative development experience for poets, the Wollongong Poetry Workshop is an intensive eight days of workshops, lectures, seminars and readings in the company of other people with a passion for poetry. Workshop tutors for 2011 include Michael Sharkey and Susan Hampton.

Previous participants will be automatically accepted into the workshop. If you have not previously attended the Wollongong Poetry Workshop, please send up to 10 pages of poetry and a CV or bio of no more than a page to wpoetryw@chariot.com.au. Presented by The Australian Poetry Centre, Poets Union and South Coast Writers Centre. Supported by Arts NSW.

Getting Started in Theatre Writing with Timothy Daly. SCWC PROGRAM
20 November 2010

This practical, hands-on workshop will both allow you to try your hand at writing for theatre, as well as showing you over 30 practical writing techniques that work well in theatre writing. Other aspects covered will be: the differences between theatre writing and novel or short story writing; the differences between theatre writing and film writing; dramatic structure and how to use plot in theatre writing. Suitable for both beginners in theatre writing and for those with some theatre-writing experience. Presented by South Coast Writers Centre, ACT Writers Centre, NSW Writers Centre, Bega Valley Shire Council and the South East Arts Region. Supported by Arts NSW. Thanks to Writers of the Far South Coast for their assistance with this workshop program.
