With funding from a successful Country Arts Support Program 2011 grant, Shoalhaven’s Kitchen Table Poets have organised a public two-day masterclass with one of Australia’s finest poets and most experienced teachers of poetry.
The cost for the two-day workshop is $85, which includes morning and afternoon tea.
The workshop is suitable for poets who have some experience in writing and wish to develop their skills further.
Judith Beveridge has published several books of poetry, among them The Domesticity of Giraffes, Accidental Grace and Storm and Honey. She is currently the poetry editor for the literary journal Meanjin and teaches poetry writing at the University of Sydney.
Beveridge has been a member of the Literature Board of the Australia Council and has been the recipient of many prestigious awards including The Newcastle Poetry Prize, New South Wales Premier’s Literary Awards, Kenneth Slessor Prize for Poetry and the Josephine Ulrick Award.
