Come and enjoy the soaring sounds of an orchestra of young talented musicians performing works from the Baroque period on string, woodwind, horn and early keyboard instruments in the stunning concert setting of the Boyd Education Centre, at Riverdale, overlooking the Shoalhaven River.
Ironwood Chamber Ensemble is recognised around the globe as leading the way in early music performance and education. Young up and-coming professional musicians travel from across Australia to hone their skills at the stunning Boyd Education Centre by participating in the Ironwood Developing Artists program. During the Ironwood workshop this highly talented group of musicians come together to form an orchestra and will perform alongside their mentors Anneke Scott (baroque horn), Stephen Freeman (Baroque violin), Simon Rickard (baroque bassoon) and Nicole Forsyth (baroque viola) a variety of baroque era orchestral and chamber works, including a sublime program from master composers such as JS Bach, Handel, Vivaldi and Muffat.
This is a one-off opportunity to listen to these passionate musicians as the sun sets over the Shoalhaven at the magnificent Boyd Education Centre at Riversdale.
A concert not to be missed!
