Three of China’s most promising emerging poets and two award-winning Australian poets will present an afternoon of public poetry readings in Nowra.

After a successful Award in 2008 the PressPress Chapbook Award will run again in 2009!
The award is for an unpublished chapbook length manuscript of poems. The winning manuscript will receive $500 and chapbook publication with PressPress. The closing date is 31 May 2009.

Dorothy Porter, a shining light of the poetry world, died in Melbourne on 9 December. Described as one of the true originals, Porter is best known for her verse novels including The Monkey’s Mask a thriller about a lesbian detective, published in 1994.
